If you like the idea of working with cars and other vehicles and studying both practically and on a theory basis then this course is a great strating point. This course is ideal if you want to further your skills from Entry Level or if you don’t have any experience at all in Vehicle Systems Maintenance but would like to try it out prior enrolling on a longer term programme of study.
Course Structure
Key modules on this course include: Motor Vehicle Maintenance Techniques, Electrical and Electronic Systems Operation, Air Conditioning and Climatic Control Systems Operation and Repair, Fault Diagnosis and Repair using Electrical and Electronic Diagnostic Equipment, English and Maths (english and Maths is mandatory for learners up to the age of 18 or until they obtian a grade 4)
Entry Requirements
To do this course you will need Grade 3 or above in GCSE English and GCSE Maths

Written assignments, practical assignments, portfolio
Fees and funding
Free for Eligible 16-18 year olds. Adult funding available dependant on learner circumstances otherwise course costs apply.
Progression
You can apply to progress onto the Level 2 Certificate or Diploma in Vehicle Systems Maintenance to further your skills and knowledge ready for employment.
