Why Chesterfield College?
There’s no such thing as a ‘typical’ HE student at Chesterfield College. From 18-year-olds who have just received their A-Level results to adults returning to education later in life, we have a range of courses and flexible study options to suit everyone. When you join the Chesterfield College University Centre you will mix with young people, employed people studying part-time and parents fitting in a degree around family life. Our University Centre isn’t ‘typical’ either. When you join college you will be part of a close-knit group of students, benefitting from small class sizes and more dedicated one-to-one time with tutors.
Financial Help
Like any other university course, you are entitled to a student loan to help cover some of the costs of studying. This loan does not need to be paid back until you start earning over a certain amount of money per year (currently £27,295). This is then paid back in small monthly instalments to make the loan affordable and manageable for you.
University Partnerships
Through our partnerships with the University of Derby, Sheffield Hallam University and Pearson, you can be sure that the qualification you receive is accredited by a nationally-recognised university or professional awarding body.
Careers Advice
We are here to help you make tough decisions and dilemmas about your career and the path you want to take. These decisions and conversations can happen at any point in your studies; we can even offer support before starting your time with us (such as assistance with your UCAS application and personal statement).
The fact that we have made it here today to attend our graduation is not only a testament to our commitment to complete a course, but also to the hard-working staff members of the college who have supported us throughout this journey.
