Throughout the year, we host regular INSET days to allow staff to undertake essential mandatory training and staff development. INSET days vary depending on the course area and are listed below.
If a course is not listed, students must attend as normal unless they are told otherwise by their Tutor.
Students will be set work to complete remotely from home and should not attend classes in college on the day stated, unless they have been informed otherwise by their tutor. Students are welcome to use the library or common spaces to complete the work if they wish.

The Chesterfield College Engagement offer includes a selection of free, informative and educational sessions which are available to all local secondary schools. Please find below a supportive and dynamic Menu of Activities which includes a variety of sessions, from full cohort assemblies to smaller 121 tours*.
SEND stands for special educational needs and disabilities. The SEND team helps to make sure that each student or apprentice who has a disability, or possible disability has their educational needs met.
