What to expect during your interview

We want you to get the most out of your interview experience and it’s here where you will find out all about the course you have applied for, what it’s like to be a student at Chesterfield College and all the things you can get involved with whilst studying with us.

There’s no need to be nervous, as our friendly team will guide you through the whole process.

What happens after my interview?

1. You will be offered a conditional place on one of our courses.

If this is the case your next steps will involve attending a variety of keep warm taster days throughout the year here at College. You will receive our termly newsletter which tells you everything you need to know about College life and what to expect for enrolment in the summer.

2. Referral to careers

If at the end of your interview, you decide the course you have applied for is not right for you then you will be referred to our careers team who can support you in finding an alternative course or programme. There is so much for you to choose from, and our team can talk you through all the available options.

3. Referral to a different subject area

If you decide at the end of your interview that you would like to apply and participate in an interview for a different course, let the interviewer know and they can arrange this for you immediately.
