This course is ideal for progressing Level 2 Certificate students and is also suitable if you have prior knowledge and experience of working in the Motor Vehicle Repair and Maintenance industry, your qualifications are no longer valid or you don’t have relative qualifications. The course is both practical and theory based and is held at our main campus which has purpose built garages in which to gain hands on experience.
Course Structure
Key modules on this course include: Motor Vehicle Maintenance Techniques, Electrical and Electronic Systems Operation, Exhaust Fitting Techniques, Engine and Transmission Service and Maintenance, English and Maths (english and Maths is mandatory for learners up to the age of 18 or until they obtian a grade 4)
Entry Requirements
To do this course you will need GCSEs grade 3 or above in English and maths & A relevant Level 1 qualification or industry experience.

Written assignments, practical assignments, portfolio
Fees and funding
Free For Eligible 16-18 year olds and First Full L2 for 19-23 year olds. Free Adult funding available dependant on learner circumstances otherwise course costs apply.
Progression
Upon successfully completing this course you can progress on to studying at Level 3 to take your skills to a more advanced level. Alternatively you could seek employment in the industry or apply for an Apprenticeship.
