This qualification is ideal for anyone interested in starting or developing a career in the motor industry, whether you want to maintain and repair different types of vehicles (cars, vans, trucks, or even motorcycles), fit and replace parts and tyres, run your own car valeting business or work on hybrid vehicles safely. You may be progressing from a Level 1 qualification or already be working in industry.
Course Structure
Key modules on this course include: Motor Vehicle Maintenance Techniques, Electrical and Electronic Systems Operation, Exhaust Fitting Techniques, Engine and Transmission Service and Maintenance, English and Math’s (english and Maths is mandatory for learners up to the age of 18 or until they obtian a grade 4)
Entry Requirements
To do this course you will need GCSEs grade 3 or above in English and maths & A relevant Level 1 qualification or industry experience.

Written assignments, practical assignments, portfolio
Fees and funding
Free for Eligible 16-18 year olds. Adult funding available dependant on learner circumstances otherwise course costs apply.
Progression
Upon successfully completing this course you can progress on to studying on the Level 2 Diploma to take your skills to a more advanced level. Alternatively you could seek employment in the industry or apply for an Apprenticeship.
