Remembrance day, whilst a day of sombre reflection, filled the college community with pride due to the impeccable conduct, respect and community spirit shown by our staff and students.

At our Infirmary Road campus a packed heartspace was led in it’s remembrance by our public services students and staff, as well as moving musical performances by our performing arts students and music student experience administrator, Jennie Swistak.

West Block also hosted our good friends the Old Cestrefeldian Society in their annual remembrance service, attended by their members, college staff and students and local school pupils.

Staff and students from our Derby campus also contributed a huge amount of time and effort with apprentices and staff collaborating to design and manufacture 2 poppy wreaths.

The completed wreaths were proudly showcased at the Chesterfield Borough Council Remembrance Services at the Town Hall and the Chesterfield College Remembrance Service.

One wreath was gifted to Joe Roberts from the Chesterfield British Legion and the other wreath will be proudly displayed at the Derby Campus
