The ESFA brings together the former responsibilities of the Education Funding Agency (EFA) and Skills Funding Agency (SFA) to create a single agency accountable for funding education and skills for children, young people and adults. ESFA is an executive agency, sponsored by the Department for Education.
HEFCE is the Government agency reponsible for funding Universities and other Higher Education bodies. Kensington and Chelsea College runs a small number of degree-level courses which are either funded directly by HEFCE or in partnership with Universities.
The European Union funds and co-funds some of the College’s programmes – particularly for unemployed people – mainly through the European Social Fund.
