This qualification aims to:
- raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health difficulties
- dispel some of the myths and misconceptions frequently linked to mental health issues
- develop the students’ knowledge of the rights of those with mental health issues.
This qualification is available to all students with an interest in raising their own understanding of mental health issues.
Units covered:
- Develop an Awareness of Mental Health
On successful achievement students will be awarded an NCFE CACHE Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness which can be added to CVs to enhance employment prospects.
This is an online course which will take two days to complete via the college’s VLE.
