UAL Level 2 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts

Throughout the year, learners will develop acting, vocal, movement and production skills and work collaboratively on key projects and performances.

Learners will study a number of key units including: Introduction to performance and production, Communicating with an audience, Staging a performance, Contextual research, Performance and production skills, Personal project and Producing and performing to an audience.

4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above – must include English, Maths and a creative subject (extracurricular performing arts experience will be considered). You will also take part in a group audition workshop, showing your performance skills and passion for performing arts (acting/movement/vocal). If you have not achieved a grade 4 in GCSE English and Maths you will study this as part of your programme. *Applicants without grade 3 in maths may be considered if a high standard of skills is demonstrated at audition*

We offer a natural progression to Level 3 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts and a HNC in Performing Arts Career wise, the Level 2 course would enable progression into industry-related apprenticeships. It could also lead to entry level positions in the following areas/roles: Theatre Design and production Performer (dancer, actor, vocalist)Youth worker Entertainment staff Director Choreographer
