If travelling is your passion and you have an interest in other cultures and worldwide destinations, travel and tourism at Chesterfield College could be the course for you!

This exciting study programme allows you to learn about everything involved with working in the travel and tourism industry, from learning about different airlines and tour operators to creating and delivering your own guided tour.

We offer adventure and challenge through our dynamic courses, which allow you to develop a new skill set and open the pathway to your future career.

Upon successful completion of this course, you can stay with us and develop your knowledge further with our Level 3 Diploma in Travel and Tourism.

Course Structure

Modules on this course may include:

  • Customer service in travel and tourism
  • The UK travel and tourism industry
  • Coastal tourism
  • Career planning in travel and tourism

Entry Requirements

Three GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English or maths.

Assessment methods

Written assignments, reports, role play, presentations.

Fees and funding

Free for Eligible 16-18 year olds and 19-24 year olds with High Needs. For 19+ Adults course may be discounted or free dependant on learners circumstances, otherwise Course Costs Apply. Contact advice@chesterfield.ac.uk for more information

Progression

You will gain an understanding of the travel and tourism industry and be prepared to progress to further study at Level 3 or work at a junior level in the industry. You may also apply for an apprenticeship.
