If you would like to build upon your existing Plumbing skills and knowledge to launch your career in the industry then this course is for you. The course is intended as a Technical Level Qualification. It requires the completion of knowledge and practical assessments designed to provide you with the basic skills and understanding to allow a progression route to completion of the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating, Domestic Heating or Level 3 Plumbing Foundation qualification.
The qualification is intended for 16-19 year old learners who are in full time education. It is for someone who wants to work in the building services engineering industry and envisages a career as a Plumber or Plumbing & Heating Engineer. The qualification may also be suitable for other learners, such as adults, who are interested in plumbing or changing their career path.
During this course you will be asked to carry out work experience that is relevant to the subject you are studying. This is with an external company and allows you to put what you will learn in the classroom into practice. It will also help you to develop a variety of different skills. Upon completion of the course and the industry placement, it can also help you to secure an apprenticeship, employment or assist you with your application for university. We recommend that you start thinking about your placement as soon as you have applied for your course and consider potential employers you may want to undertake the placement with to help you get the most out of the experience.
