The EAL Level 2 Diploma is the foundation for your engineering journey in education. This course will give a strong base from which you can progress through a few different routes once achieved. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with tutors with a rich background of engineering experience from a number of different areas
  • Train on a variety of specialist equipment in a workshop environment
  • Take part in activities with some of the leading names in the industry, giving you a first-hand experience of larger engineering environments
  • Apply for apprenticeships whilst you study – We have a dedicated team whose aim is to help learners find apprenticeships with 1-2-1 support

The EAL Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Technologies is designed for anyone interested in starting a career in the engineering and manufacturing sector. You’ll gain practical skills and knowledge across a range of areas, preparing you for roles such as mechanical or electrical engineering, welding, fabrication, maintenance, or technical support.

This course is suitable for school leavers, full-time learners, or adults looking to develop new skills or change career.

You must have an interest in engineering. You must be willing to learn and develop yourself.
