Chesterfield College is delighted to be able to partner with Chesterfield Royal Hospital, an acute hospital providing healthcare and community services for more than 400,000 people across Derbyshire.
As the two key anchor organisations within Northeast Derbyshire, Chesterfield College and Chesterfield Royal Hospital have been able to establish a strong collaborative partnership, in which has presented an abundance of opportunities to enhance our student experience, expand our curriculum and reinforce their workforce with core knowledge, skills and behaviours that are aligned to industry. In 2024, Chesterfield College and Chesterfield Royal Hospital signed the collaboration charter to further strengthen these links and to commit to working together in partnership for future years.
Throughout this partnership, Aidan Page (Apprenticeship Co-ordinator) and many of his colleagues from Chesterfield Royal Hospital have engaged with various employer engagement events, playing a vital role in contributing to the design and validation of our curriculum to support with preparing our students and apprentices for their future progression opportunities, linked to their chosen career paths.
As a result of this, bespoke and innovative provision has been introduced via our curriculum offer alongside an ever-growing Apprenticeship programme that continues to go from strength to strength with fantastic outcomes achieved – 100% first time Pass/Distinction End-Point Assessment results!
