Travelling to college from Worksop

If you’re travelling to Chesterfield College from Worksop there are a number of easy-to-access travel routes available to you.


From the centre of Worksop to the centre of Chesterfield, it takes approximately 30 minutes by car.

There is a free student car park available at the Infirmary Road campus operated on a first come, first served basis.


The Stagecoach bus route 77 has regular buses into Chesterfield (approximately every 30 minutes) and takes just over an hour, with stops at Hodthrope, Whitwell, Clowne, Barlborough, Mastin Moor, Staveley and Brimington.

Your bus travel could be free if you are eligible for the bursary.


Trains are available from Worksop to Chesterfield and take, on average, just over one hour. There are no direct trains, so you will be required to change in Sheffield.

The service is available from East Midlands Rail.
