Travelling to college from Mansfield

If you’re travelling to Chesterfield College from Mansfield there are a number of easy-to-access travel routes available to you.


From the centre of Mansfield to the centre of Chesterfield, it takes approximately 30 minutes by car.

There is a free student car park available at the Infirmary Road campus operated on a first come, first served basis.


The Pronto route has regular buses into Chesterfield (every 30 minutes) and takes 50 minutes, with stops at Doe Lea, Glapwell, Pleasley, Temple Normanton and Hasland. Timetable details can be found here.

Your bus travel could be free if you are eligible for the bursary.


Trains are available from Mansfield train station, but can take up to one hour and 30 minutes. There are no direct trains, so you will be require to change in Nottingham.

The service is available from East Midlands Rail.
