What are T Levels?

Designed by the Government and businesses, T Levels ensure students complete their studies with not just a qualification but with all the current skills and knowledge employers need. This two-year qualification for 16-18 year olds, combines industry experience with classroom study – think of it as a mixture between apprenticeships and BTECs.

Learners will spend 45 days on an Industry Placement where they can practice their skills with a local employer’s help.

Benefits for Employers

  • Early access to new and fresh talent
  • Invest in the future workforce
  • Shape the industry
  • a chance for staff to develop supervisory and mentoring skills
  • an opportunity to build a more diverse workforce
  • an enhanced reputation in your community

How it works

We will work with you and support you every step of the way. We have a dedicated T Level and Business support team, trained and readily available to help you get the most out of the programme.

  1. Get in contact! Whether you are all set up and ready to go or just want to enquire for more information. Starting the conversation will help you get where you need to be.
  2. Finding the right student with the right attitude and intentions. We want to know about your business, the types of placement you could offer, the responsibilities of the learner and any skill gaps.
  3. Planning the duration of the placement. We will help plan start and finish times, goals, projects, and deadlines for the student. We will also guide you on all the health and safety requirements and responsibilities required from you as an employer.
  4. It’s a good idea to have a line manager or mentor dedicated to the student on placement. This will make sure the student is hitting their targets and objects and also allow them to ask any questions.
  5. End of placement review. We want to know how you got on, how the student got on and any feedback you may have. We also want to know if the placement allowed the student to think about their next career steps, maybe there’s a place for them in the business or maybe you want to take on another industry placement.
