If you enjoy learning about criminal cases and what drives people to commit crime then this course is for you. Criminology explores the different types of crime that takes place in our society and the reasons why people commit these crimes. During this course you will gain the skills you need to evaluate criminology theories and apply these theories to real life situations and criminal cases. You will also look into the criminal investigation process and justice system.

Entry Requirements
You will need a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including maths and English and at least one grade 6 in a written subject.

Free For Eligible 16-18 year olds and First Full L3 for 19-23 year olds. Adult Learner Loans available, course costs apply.

The course provides a really good introduction to a range of degree courses and careers, and is ideal for students wishing to study criminology, law, politics, social policy or sociology at university. It is also relevant for students interested in any role within the criminal justice system, such as in the police force, prison officer, probation officer or crime scene investigator.
