Within commercial practice photographers need creative, technical and professional skills to create eye caching images and this course concentrates on building these key skills. Learners will develop their creative eye through practice and theory, enhancing their understanding of composition, colour, lighting and framing. To support this, learners will develop their technical knowledge in film and digital practice on both location and within the studio environment. This will help build their professional practice and leaners will produce a final high quality portfolio that aims to support their progression into further study or industry practice.

Learners will undertake four major projects over the year. Although cameras are provided leaners will need to cover the cost of basic resources (photographic memory cards, paper, portfolio, printing etc) during their studies.
