This Level 2 is the foundation for your engineering journey in education. This course will give a strong base from which you can progress through a few different routes once achieved. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with tutors with a rich background of engineering experience from a number of different areas
  • Train on a variety of specialist equipment in a workshop environment
  • Take part in activities with some of the leading names in the industry, giving you a first-hand experience of larger engineering environments
  • Apply for apprenticeships whilst you study – We have a dedicated team whose aim is to help learners find apprenticeships with 1-2-1 support

Course Structure

During this course you will learn modules such as:

  • Working in an engineering environment
  • Engineering mathematics and science principles
  • Electrical and electronic testing methods
  • Basic electrical circuit inspection, testing and fault diagnosis
  • Electrical installation methods, wiring and circuit protection
  • Engineering Project to perform all skills learnt

Entry Requirements

You must have an interest in engineering. You must be willing to learn and develop yourself. Have a grade 4 or above in Maths.

Progression

Successful completion of the Level 2 course and remaining GCSE will give you the opportunity to progress onto a Level 3 Full time course, an Apprenticeship or a Level 3 T Level.
