Are you interested in a career in business? Do you aspire to run your own company? If so, this new, exciting and challenging programme in business is for you. The qualification initially runs over one year and could be your first step towards making your business goals a reality. The course is designed to be the first year of a 2 year programme to support progression to university, or increase your existing UCAS points to help you get to university once completed. This course is ideally suited to those aged 16-18.

Course Structure
You will learn about business culture, types of organisations, marketing, finance, retail, human resources and enterprise. If required, you will also work towards the achievement of Maths and English at GCSE grade C/4 as part of your overall study programme. There will be a mix of classroom based activities which include on-line research, production of reports, presentations and creating displays as well as out of classroom events or industry practice which involves demonstrating your business skills. A high standard of industry professionalism is expected from you during project activities.
Entry Requirements
You will need at least 5 GCSE’s at Grade C/4, including maths and English.

Fees and funding
Free For Eligible 16-18 year olds and First Full L3 for 19-23 year olds. Adult Learner Loans available, course costs apply.
Progression
You can continue to the second year of your studies and top up to the full Extended Diploma in Business.
