Are you interested in a business career? Do you aspire to run your own company? If so, this new, exciting and challenging programme in business is for you. The qualification initially runs over one year and could be your first step towards making your business goals a reality. The course is designed to be the first year of a 2-year programme to support progression to university, or increase your existing UCAS points to help you get to university once completed. This course is ideally suited to those aged 16-18.

Course Structure
You will learn about business culture, types of organisations, marketing, finance, retail, human resources and enterprise. If required, you will also work towards the achievement of Maths and English at GCSE grade C/4 as part of your overall study programme. There will be a mix of classroom-based activities, which include online research, production of reports, presentations and creating displays, as well as out-of-classroom events or industry practice, which involves demonstrating your business skills. A high standard of industry professionalism is expected from you during project activities.
Entry Requirements
You will need at least 5 GCSE’s at Grade C/4, including maths and English.

Fees and funding
Free For Eligible 16-18 year olds and 19-24 with EHCP. For 19+ Adults course may be discounted or free dependant on learners circumstances otherwise course costs apply. Adult Learner Loans are Available to eligible learners. Contact Advice@chesterfield.ac.uk for more information
