This will give you an essential English qualification for many career paths and further study. The perfect course if you want to explore a range of literary and language topics but don’t want to take separate GCSEs in Language and Literature.

Course Structure
We base our courses on employment needs of the region. Therefore, you can expect to learn topics that are relevant to the industry. Your course will be made up of a mixture of core modules that are essential to the course requirements and units that you can choose to specialise in yourself. You’ll be guided by your tutor on which units to choose that will best suit you. Units on this course include English Literature and English Language.

There are no entry requirements to this course.
Assessment methods
Throughout the academic year you will complete more minor assignments and projects that will help guide you towards/give you the confidence to complete your course. Your final qualification will then be based upon a mixture of written and oral assignments.
Fees and funding
Free Adult Maths and English funding available dependant on learner circumstances.
Progression
You may decide that you want to take your studies further or use your new skills to gain employment.
