Safeguarding External Contact Information

When the college is closed, we have adapted our safeguarding arrangements to ensure that every student, apprentice, parent and employer partner can still access help and guidance. We have provided details of important contact information for external agencies that should be your first port of call if you have a safeguarding concern.

Safeguarding concerns

If you have any safeguarding concerns relating to someone under 18 years of age or a vulnerable adult, please call your Local Authority Social Care phone number. The number you call will be different depending on where you live. You can find details on the following web page by putting in the postcode of where you are reporting from: https://www.gov.uk/report-child-abuse-to-local-council

Call Derbyshire – this is the contact and referral service for children and adults living in Derbyshire. If you are concerned that a child or vulnerable adult is suffering or at risk of significant harm call:

01629 533190 (option 1 for children and 2 for adults).

The out-of-hours number (5 pm–9 am including weekends) is 01629 532600.

If someone is at immediate risk of harm, contact the Police immediately on 999.

If you are an employer who is concerned about the welfare of an apprentice, please follow the guidelines above.
