For many school leavers, college can appear to be a lot bigger than school and a daunting prospect, especially for those who may lack confidence in social situations. We have found that a college tour often allays the worries that young people have about coming to college after leaving school. We encourage parents to come along as well, to see the facilities, workshops, social spaces and classrooms. In most cases, this helps the school leaver decide if the college environment is right for them.
