AEB FS C&G MATHS FOR ADULTS L1 & L2 PT – September 2024

Course Overview

If you have an interest in improving your mathematics skills in a practical context and gaining a national qualification at the level appropriate for you, this course is for you.

The levels available are: Entry Level 1, Entry Level 2, Entry Level 3, Level 1 and Level 2*.

Our tutors will provide you with effective individualised support from start to finish.

Courses are available on a daytime or evening basis.

*Level 2 is equivalent to a GCSE at grade 4.

Course Content

A broad overview of the course involves three main topics:

  • Number e.g. types of number, fractions, decimals and percentages, ratio
  • Measure shape and space e.g. units of measure, perimeter, area and volume, angles
  • Data handling e.g. charts, graphs, averages

There will be an element of non-calculator and calculator skills to achieve the final assessment.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this course but you will be required to sit a short assessment and interview before you enrol to assess your current level.

You may decide that you want to progress further with a GCSE Mathematics qualification, other college courses, or use your new skills to gain employment.
