Chesterfield College offers a multi-faith room for staff, students and visitors to make use of. This is a quiet room for prayer or meditation. To access the multi-faith room, speak to the main reception on Infirmary Road.

At Chesterfield College, we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all our students, apprentices, staff, and visitors. Our Multi-Faith Room is located in the Main Building, on Infirmary Road.
A Safe and Inclusive Space for All
The Multi-Faith Room provides a quiet, peaceful space for reflection, prayer, and meditation, where individuals from all faiths, beliefs, and cultures can practice privately. We respect the diversity of our community and believe in fostering an environment where everyone’s spiritual and personal well-being is supported.
General Principles of Use
Please observe the following guiding principles to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of users:
It is important that you register your attendance and use of the room with the nominated member of staff at Main Reception.
- Take personal belongings and items of religious practice away with you
- Do not block others using the room for long periods of time
- Please keep noise to a minimum and do not hold general conversation that may disturb others
- No eating or drinking is allowed in the room
- The use of mobile phones and other devices should be restricted to avoid disturbing others
- No collecting of money without permission
- No candles, incense or naked flames of any kind should be used in the room
- No leafleting
- No meetings
- No Sleeping
- Please ensure the room is clean and tidy before leaving
The room will be checked by staff on a regular basis to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of users.
