Course Overview

If you want to start a career as a Carpenter or Joiner then this is a great course to get a solid understanding of the skills and knowledge to be successful in the industry. You'll study on a practical and theoretical basis to get a grip on the techical aspects and you'll also improve your Maths, English and ICT through Functional Skills sessions.

Key modules on this course include: Health, Safety and Welfare, Construction Technology, Produce woodworking joints, Maintain and use Carpentry and Joinery portable power tools, Building Methods

Entry Requirements

Grade 3 in maths and English

You can progress on to a Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery. You can also seek employment and, if successful, progress on to an Apprenticeship.
