Pinelodge Holidays is a family-owned business which operates two 5-star award winning lodge holiday parks in Derbyshire; Landal Darwin Forest near Matlock and Landal Sandybrook at Ashbourne.
We are recruiting a Soft Play & Café Assistant to join our team at Little Monkeys, the best indoor play centre in Derbyshire.
You must be reliable, friendly and work well in a team. This is either a casual or a part time, permanent, year-round position and some flexibility on working hours will be necessary. Part time permanent must be able to work 1 day per weekend and during our peak season (school holidays, including bank holidays). Generally, the hours of work are between 09:00 am to 6:30 pm, however hours may be less due to the nature of our industry and the irregular changes in workload during each season.
The Parks operate all year round and at Pinelodge Holidays we try to “Delight every Guest so they Wish to Return”. As a member of the Little Monkeys team, you will be in contact with our guests on a daily basis and must demonstrate a friendly and professional image at all times. A uniform will be provided.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and approachable person to assist with front of house duties. You must have a fun, flexible approach to the demands of a busy children’s indoor play centre, helping create a relaxed and inviting environment for our holiday guests and people from the local community bringing their children to enjoy the Little Monkeys experience.
This varied role will involve welcoming children and their parents into the centre and processing payments, serving food and drinks from the café, coordinating birthday parties and general cleaning duties.
- Ensure that all telephone enquiries are dealt with politely and efficiently
- Ensure that all prospective clients are politely and efficiently guided through all the possibilities on site visits
- Serving customers food and drinks
- Processing payments
- Coordinating birthday parties
- Ensure that good practice is applied and ensure that all Company policies and procedures are followed.
- Maintain relations with park guests, with the ability to handle and resolve any guest complaints with a positive outcome.
- Ensure that standards are met and that guest expectations are exceeded at all times.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that park guests and members expectations are achieved or exceeded.
- Any other duties required by the needs of the business and the professional fulfilment of the role.

- Experience in the food and catering industry
- Good interpersonal, time management and organisational skills

- Ability to communicate with all levels of staff
We will give full training but past experience in customer service is desirable as well as the ability to work in a fast pace environment.
Ideal Qualifications although not essential but must be willing to work towards obtaining:
- Emergency at Work First Aid
- Certificates in Level 2 Food Hygiene
