Our Construction students got some great insight into the working world this week after hearing from a range of guest speakers for Construction Industry Week.
Whilst students gained great pieces of expert advice, employers also had the chance to inspire the next generation of their workforce and spread the word about their businesses.
John Price, from City & Guilds, stressed the importance of soft skills such as time management, team work and determination. He said:
“You can be the top student in the class this year but if you don’t have those important soft skills you’re going to struggle to get an apprenticeship, keep an apprenticeship and then pass an apprenticeship.”
