Gas Engineering Standard Apprenticeship EPA Success

Congratulations must go to the recent cohort of students doing their Gas Engineering Standard Apprenticeship End Point Assessments. During the spring our college saw 19 successful EPA including 7 overall grades of Distinctions and since returning from our summer break we have had a further 19 successful EPAs, with 8 achieving Distinctions.

To achieve an overall distinction grade, Apprentices must achieve 90% or higher in their knowledge exam, making these results even more impressive. 98% of Apprentices also achieved a Distinction grade for the standard of their showcase portfolio which is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our students and staff supporting them through the End Point Assessment journey.

The IEPA has been very complimentary in his feedback, commenting on how well our apprentices are prepared for EPA, polite and represented themselves, their employers and the college to a very high standard. He added that the college staff have been very well organised, helpful and supportive and the facilities have been well prepared and a pleasure to use.

We wish all Apprentices good luck in their careers as qualified Gas Engineers.
