Course Overview

The PEO Level 2 is the foundation for your engineering journey in education. This course will give a strong base from which you can progress through a few different routes once achieved. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with tutors with a rich background of engineering experience from a number of different areas
  • Train on a variety of specialist equipment in a workshop environment
  • Take part in activities with some of the leading names in the industry, giving you a first-hand experience of larger engineering environments
  • Apply for apprenticeships whilst you study – We have a dedicated team whose aim is to help learners find apprenticeships with 1-2-1 support

Course Content

This course will be focused around electrical/electronic maintenance , you will work towards a range of electrical and electronic maintenace units, this will then be followed with an employer based project whilst developing your english and maths skills in preperation for Level 3 T levels.

During this course you will learn modules such as:

Complying with statutory regulations and organisational requirements

  • Carrying out engineering activities efficiently and effectively
  • Using and communicating technical information
  • Assembling and Testing Electrical Circuits
  • Assembling and Testing Electronic Circuits
  • Maintaining/installing Electrical Circuits

Entry Requirements

You must have an interest in engineering. You must be willing to learn and develop yourself. Have a grade 4 or above in Maths.

Progression

Successful completion of the Level 2 course and remaining GCSE will give you the opportunity to progress onto a Level 3 Sub Diploma in Engineering, a T level or potentially an apprenticeship.
