AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting (part time) – February 2024

Course Overview

The Advanced Diploma in Accounting introduces more complex accounting tasks, like maintaining cost accounting records and the preparation of reports and returns.

It is perfect if you have completed the AAT L2 Foundation Certificate in Accountancy, or you are already at a more advanced level and you’re looking to develop your accounting skills.

It can lead to a job in finance: payroll supervisor, audit trainee, finance assistant.

Apprentices study in class with fee paying students and take all the same exams. They work for an employer on the other 4 days a week.

This course runs Tuesdays 9am-4.30pm for those wanting daytime study or Mon/Thursday 6pm-9pm for those who prefer evening classes.

Entry Requirements

You will need an AAT Level 2 qualification, GCSE A-C/9-4 in English and maths, Spreadsheet qualification and or experience, Significant accounting and finance work experience.

Assessment Methods

  • 4 Exams including some written questions in the final exam

Progression

Typical progression is onto the Level 4 AAT Diploma in Accounting.
