Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC) in General Engineering

Modules will include;

• Unit 1 – Engineering Design
• Unit 2 – Engineering Mathematics
• Unit 3 – Engineering Science
• Unit 4 – Managing a Professional Engineering Project
• Unit 8 – Mechanical Principles
• Unit 19 – Electrical and Electronic Principles
• Unit 79 – CAD for Engineering
• Unit 12 – Engineering Management

A Level 3 Engineering qualification that is either BTEC or EAL where you have completed electrical principles, Engineering Science and Engineering maths units. English and maths (grade C/4 or above at GCSE or Level 2 equivalent). Mature students with relevant experience will also be considered.

Successful completion of the HNC in Engineering can lead to a wide range of roles such as Mechanical engineer, Electrical engineer, Maintenance engineer. You could also choose to study an extra year to ‘top-up’ your qualification by completing a level 5 HND or progress onto a degree programme.
