Our course is an option for individuals who don’t speak English as their first language but are keen to develop their language skills. Our ESOL courses aim to help you with your reading, writing, and speaking in English. We offer courses for beginners as well as courses for students with more knowledge of English. You don’t need any qualifications to be able to enrol onto one of our courses.

In our classes, you will learn how to be independent at the doctor’s, buy a train ticket or ask for help in an official setting. We will support you with integrating into your local community and progressing into further education or employment.

Our learners are able to access the support from our Bursary scheme, as well as other cross-college services such as Careers & Guidance or our LEAP Mentors.

At the end of each course, you will be encouraged to progress onto the next level of your qualification. We can also look at the possibility of you progressing to GCSE / Functional Skills, or other vocational courses across college.
