What is Raising Aspirations?

Raising Aspirations is a FREE personal development training course to help you into employment. You will have a tutor who will help you throughout the time on the course and upon completion of the course you will achieve a recognised City and Guilds qualification in Personal Development and Employability.

The course tutors are supportive and friendly. They have expertise is supporting people seeking employment and are able to match career goals with local opportunities.


You will also receive 1-2-1 guidance to allow you to discuss your barriers to employment and specific issues and ideas.



Raising Aspirations  

When the course is complete you will have:

- A professional CV highlighting all your skills

- Experience in an interview situation

- A cover letter to send with your CV

- Knowledge of filling in application forms

- New techniques in job searching

- Completed a work placement with a reputable organisation

- References to support a job application

When and where is the course?
Raising Aspirations is a 16 week course which is held over 2 days (approx. 8 hours per week). The classes usually start at 9.30am and end at 2pm.

To join the course you must:
 Live within Bolsover district.
 Be aged over 19
 Be currently unemployed
 Be interested in entering employment
