Ofsted planned inspection - Tuesday 13 February to Friday 16 February
The Chesterfield College Group will be inspected by Ofsted from Tuesday 13 February 2018 for 4 days. This is a routine inspection as part of the Ofsted process to monitor all schools, colleges and training providers, and an opportunity for the College to share the work we do with our Students and Stakeholders.
Who are Ofsted?
Ofsted (the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) report directly to Parliament and provide an impartial and independent assessment of providers that deliver education and skills for learners of all ages.
Students - What does it mean for you?
As part of their assessment, inspectors from Ofsted may observe the teaching, learning and assessment in some of your lessons/tutorials/reviews. They may also stop you at some point during your day at college to ask you some questions about your time with us. If you have any questions about Ofsted and the inspection, please ask your tutor or the Student Services Team.
All classes, visits, assessments and examinations will carry on as normal. We will work closely with the Ofsted inspection team to ensure that there is no disruption to your studies during their visit.
Parents – How can you contribute your views?
The Ofsted inspectors value the opinions and views of parents and will use your feedback when they assess the College Group and its delivery partners. It would be extremely helpful to us if you could take 10 minutes to complete an online survey that allows you to give honest feedback on the service we provide and your assessment of the impact we have on your son or daughter. You can access the survey here.
We are looking forward to sharing the great things that happen at Chesterfield College with the inspection team, and the high standards that our students work towards, and hope that you will welcome inspectors and assist them with any queries they may have.
