Chesterfield College regain the Derbyshire Cup

The Derbyshire Cup came back to Chesterfield College after a 3 year absence with a hard fight 3-1 victory over Repton School in the final stage at Derby College.

Against a strong wind Repton were restricted to half chances in a scrappy first half. Chesterfield started the 2nd half on the front foot and was soon in the lead when a wind assisted free kick from Brad Hextall sailed into the top corner.

Repton quickly replied with a tidy finish pass to Chris Butt from a free kick. James Culf was then rewarded for some hard running with a close range finish to make it 2-1 and this was soon followed by a corner from Josh Brown that somehow squeezed into the net.

The Final score was 3-1 to the Chesterfield Boys with Kane Hempshall being voted MOM. ‪#‎ccSport‬
