To celebrate Student Volunteer Week 2018 we thought we’d share with you a snapshot of the fantastic volunteering opportunities students have been presented with recently at college. From live streaming gigs to ill children all over the UK to building schools and teaching in Africa; our students have had access to some amazing and meaningful opportunities and experiences which will no doubt help them in their future careers:

The Melodic Caring Project Media and childhood studies students supported the launch of the Melodic Caring Project in the UK; helping to bring live music events to the bedsides of ill children. Read the full story here

NHS Cadetships Each year health and social care students volunteer to take part in a 12 week work experience programme at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. Here’s what Hannah had to say about working on the maternity ward.

African Adventures Every year students from across college have the opportunity to go on a volunteering expedition to Ghana to make a big difference to the local community. Read the full story here.
