Post Graduate Certificate in Education boosts Sajjad’s teaching skills

Sajjad Choudry - Graduation 2017

Sajjad Choudhry chose to study a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) at Chesterfield College because he was keen to learn more about the art of teaching.

Sajjad teaches electrical engineering at Chesterfield College and has also taught in universities in Pakistan. He was keen to develop his skills and his teaching knowledge further so he chose to study for the PGCE.

He told us: “I have already put the things I have learnt during the course into practice and I’ve been really pleased with the positive impact it has had. I think the most interesting thing for me was learning about the different strategies to get the most out of learners and behavioural management.”

“It feels fantastic to be graduating today. I feel quite relaxed about the ceremony but I am also really excited. My family are watching the live stream of the ceremony over in Pakistan so it is wonderful to be able to share the moment with them when they are so far away.”
