Christian's higher level apprenticeship has helped him get a promotion
Higher apprentice, Christian Walton (41) has graduated today with a Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership. Christian first discovered apprenticeships 18 months ago when his department was looking for an apprentice to join the team. After meeting with the college, Christian discovered there are in fact a range of training opportunities for people wanting to gain a higher level qualification. It was then that he decided to undergo an apprenticeship himself to aid with career progression.
“It was definitely a steep learning curve at first, especially learning how to write more academically but the support and the tutors at college have been fantastic. I was actually promoted to Customer Service Manager a year ago thanks to the skills I’ve learned during my apprenticeship.”
Christian is now hoping to continue to progress in his career and is exploring opportunities for him to progress on to a Level 6 qualification.
