Former Art student's poppies are removed as all are sold off

Have you bought one of the 888,246 ceramic poppies from the Tower of London?

Did you know these were created by one of our former Foundation Art and Design students, Paul Cummins?

After studying at College, Paul progressed to Derby University and since graduating has had his pieces of work installed at a number of high profile destinations such as the Houses of Parliament and Blenheim Palace.

His poppies installation at the Towers of London to commemorate fallen soldiers during World War One was seen by thousands upon thousands of tourists and is expected to raise approximately £11.2m for military charities.

About 17,500 volunteers helped to plant the poppies while a team of about 8,000 volunteers will dismantle them at a rate of around 75,000 per day.
