Jacky trained at Bournemouth College of Art and was awarded the Rome Scholarship. Before moving to Derbyshire, she taught at Plymouth Art School for 14 years. Although foremost a sculptor, Jacky has become a prolific printmaker using linocut to visualise and explore her imagery. Animals and animal–like formations are a recurrent theme in her work. The motifs themselves have become a vehicle to express underlying themes of opposing forces, light and dark, good and evil, evoking an emotive response.

More recently Jacky has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone disease, this exhibition is a celebration of her creativity and productivity. The proceeds of all sales from the exhibition will be donated to Ashgate Hospice and Motor Neurone Disease Charity.

The exhibition opens on Thursday 26th January 6.00 – 8.30pm, every one is welcome.
