Child Sexual Exploitation is defined as ‘a form of sexual abuse that involves the manipulation and/or coercion of young people under the age of 18 into sexual activity’. Sexual Exploitation can happen to girls or boys and it is never the young person’s fault. An abuser can be a stranger, a friend or family member, or another young person such as a boyfriend or girlfriend.
