We are seeking a visionary curriculum leader with a clear, imaginative and dynamic vision for the future of the Directorate. You will have a proven track record of improving and constantly developing standards in academic, technical and vocational training and taking staff with you on “the journey” to provide outstanding services, outcomes and career progression routes for every student and apprentice. You will lead on the development of the curriculum, working closely with employers and other stakeholders to develop growth and diversification of income which is in line with the skills priorities and education policy whilst supplying employers with the workforce they need for both now and the future.
With experience of working in a senior capacity, you will provide inspirational leadership and nurture the college’s culture of inclusivity, fairness, empathy and empowerment to support every individual member of staff to achieve their best for our students, apprentices and each other every day.
You will have experience of creating a responsive and comprehensive curriculum incorporating a range of provision types, including apprenticeships, which reflects the short and long-term needs of the regional economy and provides students and apprentices with clear ways to progress in their studies and to secure employment. In order to achieve this, you will be an active listener with the ability to collaborate and consult with all stakeholders including staff and students in order to make informed evidence based decisions which in turn will enable the Directorate to flourish through joint accountability and highly effective, dynamic teamwork.
