Our hospitality and catering courses will give you all the skills you need to succeed in this demanding and dynamic industry. Whether you want to be front of house or work in a professional kitchen, you’ll benefit from the expertise of our tutors who have years of experience working in fine dining restaurants and hotels. You’ll be able to practice your skills and get hands-on experience working in our professional kitchens and on-site restaurant ‘Taste’. You’ll also get the chance to cook and serve food to paying customers during the week. This will give you the opportunity to experience what it’s like to work in the industry and benefit from being part of a professional team in a customer-facing environment.

- Experienced chefs can earn around £18,000 a year depending on their experience, whilst head chefs can earn up to £35,000 a year

The range of courses we offer have been carefully chosen to ensure that when you leave us, you’re ready for work, an apprenticeship or further study at university level. We ask employers to tell us what they look for in new employees and then make sure that our students develop the key skills and knowledge that puts them ahead of the competition. We also ensure that you have the option to follow a career pathway specific to particular jobs, from Level 1 all the way through to a university-level qualification. Where you start, which route you take and how far you go, will depend on you and what you want to be in the future.
