Our hospitality and professional cookery courses will give you the skills you need to succeed in this demanding and dynamic industry. Whether you want to be front-of-house or work in a professional kitchen, you’ll benefit from the expertise of our tutors who have years of experience working in fine-dining restaurants and hotels.

You can practice your skills and get hands-on experience working in our industry-standard kitchens and onsite restaurant, Taste. You’ll also get to cook and serve food to paying customers during the week. This will allow you to experience what it’s like to work in the industry and benefit from being part of a professional team in a customer-facing environment.

James Greatorex, an ex-student who is now a head chef at a Michelin-listed restaurant (L’Ortolan) in Reading, came in to give a demo to our students. The students got to try the dish and participate in a Q&A at the end of the session. What a fantastic way to preview the industry in a college setting.
