This year's graduation ceremony will take place on Friday 26th October at Casa Hotel, Lockoford Lane, Chesterfield S41 7JB.
Two ceremonies will take place - depending on which course or apprenticeship you are graduating from, you will attend either the 10.30am or 2.30pm ceremony. You should receive a letter in the post, an email and text confirming your time - if you don't receive any communications from us before 1st August, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Before the day you will need to book your tickets, cap and gown and any photography package through our provider William Northam. Sales open on Wednesday 11th July and close on Friday 31st August. Although you may not have your results yet, please book if you intend to go to ensure your place is reserved. If you do find out that you have not achieved the grades needed to graduate, you will be fully refunded for your booking. If you decide not to book your ticket and attempt to book your cap and gown after the deadline date your request will be refused.
If you do not pass your course you will not be entitled to attend the graduation ceremony. If you are required to continue with your studies to complete a module, you will be invited to attend the following year’s graduation instead. In this instance, you will also be fully refunded.
As a graduate you are entitled to one free ticket for yourself, and two guest tickets at a charge of £10 each. Please ensure you book your ticket so that we know that you are attending (e.g. if you intend to attend with two guests, you will need to book three tickets in total).
William Northam will be offering a package deal at the cost of £57. This will include the hire of an academic cap and gown, photography pack and UK postage of photographs, please use the following website to book www.williamnortham.com - you will need to select ‘Graduation’, search for Chesterfield College and create an account. To do this, you will need to know your student ID.
You will be allocated a time for collection of your cap and gown and photos for the day, so it is advisable to book a full day off work to allow yourself enough time. After this you will all be seated in the ceremony room where you will await to receive your certificate. This is not your official award; this are sent out prior to the graduation. After the event you will have time for photos with friends, family, staff and can enjoy a class of prosecco or orange juice as part of your ticket price.
Due to the growing size of Chesterfield College's annual graduation ceremony, and the nature of the event itself, we have decided to stipulate that only those aged 10 or over may attend. There are multiple reasons for taking this decision, including the size of venue, the space and number of tickets available and feedback from last year's event. Please do not bring any young children or babies along with you as we will be required to refuse entry.
Throughout the summer we will send further reminders and details about the day, so please ensure that when booking you use a personal active email so that you don’t miss out on these messages. If you need to update your contact details please send these to email@example.com
We look forward to seeing you at your graduation in October.
