Access for All

We recognise our role as a provider of further education in strengthening economic performance and improving life chances by offering opportunities to individuals, through learning and skills, which can benefit wider society.

We support wider inclusion by offering opportunities for disadvantaged learners and widening participation through a range of learning opportunities. For example in February 2011 the College organised a very interactive Respect Student Conference involving students from several colleges. The aim of the conference was to get students to ask and discuss what works, what doesn’t work and what we could do better in relation to Equality and Diversity, Citizenship and Respect with the objective of getting ideas to improve the College experience for students. As a result of the ideas generated at the Conference, the College has since implemented and changed several aspects of its activity in this area to ensure equality for all our learners.
