Course overview

This course is designed for those who want to take their career in the construction industry to a higher technical level. You’ll cover topics such as architecture, surveying, building control and construction management. You’ll also learn about the growing sustainable construction market and focus on key skills in project management and contractual procedures. Modules include:

  • Building design
  • Contractual procedures
  • Environmental impact
  • Construction and maintenance of buildings
  • Project management

  • Coursework Assignments
  • Work Based Projects and Practical Assessments
  • Time constrained assessments

Who is this course for?

The HNC can be studied over two years part-time (5.5 hours per week). You will also need to dedicate some time to self-study and research.

Entry qualifications

You must have successfully completed a relevant Level 3 qualification. Mature entry for those with considerable/relevant experience is also considered
