Who is this course for?
If you want to progress your knowledge from Level 2 into more advanced, specialised areas such as Fault Diagnosis or Climatic Control Systems then this is the perfect course for you. It will give you all the skills and knowledge you need to progress into employment. The course is both practical and theory based and is held at our Lockoford Lane campus which has purpose built garages in which to gain hands on experience. You will need a pair of overalls and safety shoes (steel toe cap).
You will need at least four GCSEs at grade C/4 or above or the Level 2 qualification. If you're not progressing from Level 2 you'll need an assessment to identify what level of study you are currently working at for English and Maths as well as recognising simple engineering applications and principles.

All of the tutors have years of industry experience behind them and as such can teach you exactly what is required to succeed in the industry. As such, they have close links to big names in the local, regional and national Vehicle Technology industry so can advise you as to what opportunities are currently out there in the world of work. Guest speakers from across the industry will give you a broder understanding of the marketplace too.
Where will this lead?
Upon successful completion of the course you will have a highly regarded motor vehicle qualification giving you the in depth skills and knowledge you need to gain employment in the industry. Apprenticeships are still an option at this stage as well.What are my career options?
